Fish-eating Crocodiles

52 years ago in Pakistan, these fish-eating crocodiles were killed so much that they could not be seen in their natural environment after 1970 and they were declared extinct in Pakistan. They are also called crocodiles.

52 سال پہلے پاکستان میں ان مچھلی خور مگرمچھوں کو اتنا زیادہ مارا گیا کہ یہ 1970 کے بعد اپنے قدرتی ماحول میں نہیں دیکھے جاسکے اور انکو پاکستان میں ناپید قرار دے دیا گیا۔ انکو گھڑیال مگرمچھ بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔

But some experts say that a fresh survey should be conducted in the areas where it was found, there is a chance of finding some living records.

ھ ماہرین کا کہنا کہ تازہ سروے کیا جاٸے جن جن علاقوں میں یہ پایا جاتا تھا وہاں کوٸی نا کوٸی زندہ ریکارڈ ملنے کے چانس موجود ہیں۔

In Pakistan, crocodiles were killed by local fishermen / people by killing them, smuggling them and interfering with their natural environment. This national loss also includes the incompetence of the wildlife department.

پاکستان میں گھڑیال کو مقامی ماہی گیروں/لوگوں نے مار مار کے، انکی اسمگلنگ کرکے اور انکے قدرتی ماحول میں مداخلت کرکے انکو ختم کیا تھا۔ اس قومی نقصان میں محکمہ جنگلی حیات کی نا اہلی بھی شامل ہے۔

However, these fish-eating crocodiles are not dangerous to humans. The male crocodile has a clear bulge on its face that is not on the female’s.

حالانکہ یہ مچھلی خور مگرمچھ انسانوں کے لیے خطرناک نہیں ہوتے۔ نر گھڑیال کے منہ پر واضح ابھار سا ہوتا جوکہ مادہ کے منہ پر نہیں ہوتا ہے۔
